Next generation of family business keep growing…
In the late 1960s Laredo, Texas was a rural area with a thriving connection to Mexico. Economic prosperity during the great depression and separation from the influence of major cities kept the community growing at a slow but steady pace. Cavazos Architects opened their firm in 1971 with a vision to stake their claim on the inevitable growth of this ideally situated South Texas community. Their early years in the industry, and their ability to maintain a certain level of quality resulted in a captivating timeline of Laredo’s advancement.
says Guillermo “Willie” Cavazos.
Fast forward to today, and the firm continues to grow substantially. They recently re-branded themselves as Cavazos Architects, under the leadership of Cavazos’ son Guillermo “Memo” Cavazos, Jr. AIA. Never a stranger to the business, Memo grew up at the office learning all there is to know about design and architecture. He officially joined the firm in 2002 and since then, together with his team has been collaborating with clients creating places that are functional, sustainable, and pleasant to experience. With Laredo’s continued growth spurt, Cavazos Architects is expanding to stay on track and best meet the needs, wants, and desires of current and future clients.
